Terms of Service

Last updated: April 1, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Security Tools ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Security Tools provides AI-powered security tools including, but not limited to: machine hardening audits, application binary scanning, phishing email detection, deepfake detection, and API security testing. The Service is provided "as-is" for authorized security testing and educational purposes.

3. Authorized use

You may only use the Service on systems and applications you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized security testing ("unauthorized hacking") is illegal and a violation of these Terms. You agree not to: • Use the Service to attack systems you do not own or have permission to test • Use findings to exploit vulnerabilities maliciously • Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse the Service • Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

4. Account and data

The free plan requires no account. Scan data is stored locally in your browser. You are responsible for the security of your device and browser data. We are not liable for loss of locally-stored scan data.

5. Intellectual property

The Security Tools platform, UI, and branding are the intellectual property of Security Tools. The open-source agent script is licensed under the MIT License. You retain ownership of all scan results and reports you generate.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Security scan results are provided for informational purposes. We do not guarantee that all vulnerabilities will be detected or that all findings are accurate. Always verify findings independently before taking action. Phishing and threat detection specifically: PhishGuard is an assistive tool that provides a second opinion on email risk. It is NOT a guaranteed email filter or a replacement for your email provider's security, employee training, or your own judgment. It can produce false negatives (missing a real phishing email) and false positives (flagging legitimate mail). A "low risk" or "verified safe" result is not a warranty of safety. You remain responsible for verifying unexpected or sensitive requests through a trusted, independent channel before acting on them.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYBERSECEPO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Paid plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. We offer a 14-day refund policy on first payment. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Contact hello@cybersecrepo.com for billing issues.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, particularly unauthorized use of security testing tools. Free accounts may be terminated after 12 months of inactivity.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via app banner or email.
